Blend In

Pre-measured smoothie ingredients delivered to you

The ingredient-portioned revolution is here to stay, folks. (You know: Blue Apron, Plated, Hello Fresh.) But dinner, that’s already covered.
Calculating beet-and-carrot ratios before 8 a.m.?
That’s where Green Blender saves the day.

The NYC company follows a similar model to its predecessors, delivering exact food portions and recipes--but this time for smoothies.
Every week ($49, delivery included), you’ll receive goods for five different recipes, each making about 24 ounces (two full servings). Included are both the usual produce suspects (baby kale, spinach, cantaloupe, berries and the like) as well as under-the-radar finds (maple water for a pancake-inspired smoothie, for instance). You then dump the contents in a blender and go about your morning. No rationing, no waste.
Beyond squeezing in some added nutrition to your day, the idea is to educate. You’ll learn everything from background info on the products (did you know maple water has half the sugar of coconut water?) to pro tips (running your blender for a full two minutes makes for an extra-smooth texture).
Perhaps most important, you can pause the subscription at any time should you be on vacation consuming actual pancakes.
